It looks like a collection of vintage motor cars, but in reality, it’s the parking area for people attending the first Hawaiian Open Golf Tournament in 1928. Waialae Golf Club, and later Waialae Country Club has hosted the event every year since then. When the Open became a PGA event in 1965, United Airlines committed to major sponsorship of the tourney, until 1997 when the current sponsor SONY Corporation took over. The event is now officially called the SONY Open in Hawaii.
